Brown Sugar Honey Cinnamon Matcha Latte Recipe
Craving a matcha latte that feels like a warm hug? Our Brown Sugar Honey Cinnamon Matcha Latte combines the earthy, vibrant notes of ceremonial-grade matcha with the deep, caramel sweetness of brown sugar, the floral touch of honey, and a warm whisper of cinnamon.
Ingredients
For the Matcha:
- 3 tsp ceremonial-grade matcha powder (it should be stronger than normal to help counter the cinnamon)
- 4 tbsp hot water (about 175°F / 80°C)
For the Milk:
- ½ cup milk (or milk alternative)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
Miscellaneous:
- 2 tbsp honey
Instructions
1. Prepare your brown sugar cinnamon milk. Pour milk into container, then mix brown sugar and cinnamon into it. You can use a spoon to mix or a milk frother to get it done faster. Make sure not to make it too frothy. Avoid getting too much air into it (mix towards the bottom).
2. Pour your 2 tbsp of honey into a separate container.
3. Sift matcha powder and whisk thoroughly, making sure there are no clumps! I like doing it in parts. Mixing a bit between each tablespoon of water to make sure I get it as smooth and creamy as possible.
4. Warm your honey for around 15 seconds, then warm your milk for around 30 seconds. This is to make sure the honey doesn't get all clumpy and hard to drink through a straw later!
5. Assemble the Drink:
- Pour your warmed honey into the bottom of the glass. Optional: decorate the side of your glass with some of the honey!
- Fill the glass to the top with ice cubes.
- Slowly pour your prepared cinnamon infused milk
- Gently pour the freshly whisked matcha over the milk layer.
- Mix it all together and enjoy. :)
There you have it! A decadent, cozy, and utterly delicious Brown Sugar Honey Cinnamon Matcha Latte made by you, in your own kitchen. It’s more than a drink—it’s a moment of warmth (iced warmth? 😂) and wellness.
